How to Choose a Silo Dust Collector for Cement Silos
How to select filter area, airflow, filter media and custom options for cement and powder silos.
Selection should start from airflow and filter area. A small silo with low unloading rate may need a compact filter area, while fine powder, high dust concentration or humid materials require a lower filtration velocity and larger filter area.
Basic Formula
Airflow Q = filter area A x filtration velocity V x 60. The selected filter area should be checked against actual material properties, unloading rate, silo volume and emission requirements.
Practical Selection Tips
- Choose a larger model for fine or high-concentration dust.
- Use anti-static or coated filter media when the material requires it.
- Confirm flange size, maintenance space and power supply before production.
- Provide drawings or photos so the flange and installation height can be checked.
